Honestly this class was just an extreme amount of fun and education. I loved our last project more than anything I had done this year. I had no complaints everything was structured greatly. I would love to take another one of these classes next year. I loved just about everything we did. Although I was sad we didn't get to work more in the broadcast room. As I loved working as the anchor.

I enjoyed this project a lot. I really had no real problems with it except when editing there was a small glitch in between two clips. This bothered me and caused me to go back and continue to mess with Final Cut Pro (our editing tool) until the problem was solved. It required me to re-uploaded the clip multiple times until it was gone. This was really my only problem, we did not run through any other problems when editing or filming the shots. This was probably my favorite project all year and I will always remember it. It required alot of my time and hard work but it was definitely worth it.The past couple of weeks I have been working on a project called Interview an Expert. I enjoyed this project a lot. My partner Connor, and I went to Shaw park Ice rink to interview one of the employees. We asked a random guy there if he would film an interview for our broadcast technology class. He was very cool and was happy to do it for us. His name was Kyle Miller and is a senior at Clayton high school. We had a good interview receiving a lot of feedback. Our interview was filmed on a Sunday and the next day in school I got it uploaded and turned it into google classroom. One problem we had was that some odd, random, guy kept coming to us and distracting us when trying to film shots. It was semi-amusing although we were there on a strictly professional trip and had limited time. After creating my six-word story and uploading it to school tube we have closed off unit 5. My six words were "One boy, one sibling, constant fights." I chose this because of all of the possible scenes and scenarios I could film. It also described briefly my sisters and I's relationship. Which at some times includes us fighting of dumb things. My first shot was a wide angle of me standing majestically. My second was a low medium shot of me showing superiority. The next shot was a wide shot of my sister introducing her. The next was a medium, high of my sister representing that she's not as important as me. Then there was an over the shoulder shot of me yelling at my sister. After that, there was a contract dolly of me giving my sister Shea a nuggie. The nuggie represented the "constant fight" part. I enjoyed this project very much and did not have any problems with it. You can watch my video here.In my research for great six word stories I found many fun ones at this link posted here. Some of my favorites were, crook outruns cops. Walkie-talkies outrun crook. Also I liked, Robs Bank. Gets away. Tells everyone. These inspired me to make my 6 word story fun, but relevant to me at the same time. My own six word story will be sure to amuse the class but have a good sense of meaning. I also learned about Ernest Hemingway. I learned that Ernest created magnificent six word story's that inspired others. He created one about a child's blue shoes that had others questioning what was going on. It was very controversial as there was many possible things that could be happening. Although it was considered one of the best six word stories of all time.
In our last week or two we have done a lot. We learned our ways around final cut pro, a professional editing tool. Along with learning how to use professional Digital HD cameras. I learned when using the Cameras how to: turn it on and off, insert the sd card and take it out, adjust the brightness with the iris, focus with the wheel in the front, zoom in and out. With these tools I learned how to perfect my wide, medium and tight shots. To take a wide shot you should have the whole person or main character in the shot, head to toe, along with headspace and background. For a medium shot you should have around the waist to head with no head space. The tight shot should be focused on one specific object on the person or what he/she's doing. When learning our ways around final cut we made a project called Circus Wagon where we inserted many transitions, titles, and messed with the audio of just one short clip. This helped us learn and develop our skills as young editors. The previous week we recorded 6 shots and this week we worked on editing them. We added transitions in the sound to fade it. We also lowered and raised it so the sound was just right and considered at a good rate so viewers didn't have to change the volume. Every activity we did for the last couple weeks I enjoyed a lot. I did not face many challenges in actually recording our projects but I did face some problems trying to follow along when editing. To overcome them I asked the people sitting next to me. I would not do anything differently.
